Better retention of product properties

To easily demonstrate the quality retention of certain nutrients in the MIRON violet glass, a microbiological experiment was performed with cherry tomatoes.

In this trial, one cherry tomato was stored for 7 months in an ordinary white glass and another in a MIRON violet glass, at room temperature and without direct sunlight. After those 7 months, the result was photographed. The microbiological change of the first tomato in white glass can be clearly observed. But the tomato in the violet glass does not show any loss of color or dehydration. Other glass colors (clear, green, brown) transmit light from the visible spectrum and do not provide adequate protection against decomposition or decay caused by the light.

In another experiment, multiple types of herbs were stored in various types of glass (clear, brown, violet) for 3 months. They were either exposed to sunlight for several hours a day or kept indoors. After 2 months, the visible quality changes were recorded by photography and the difference in odor quality was determined by a blind test with volunteers. Both the visual and odor quality of the products in the Miron violet glass were the best.

Efficiency of MIRON violet glass

The sun emits visible and invisible light particles. The visible spectrum can be seen by our eyes when white light is passed through a glass prism. But at the same time, light also contains a part that is invisible to our eyes, in the form of electromagnetic wavelengths of infrared and ultraviolet.

Sunlight makes all plants grow. If they are constantly exposed to the sun, even after ripening, the effect of the light changes and the degradation process at the molecular level accelerates.

MIRON violet glass acts as a natural filter, allowing only the sunlight to pass through, which protects and improves the quality of important, sensitive substances. Nowadays there is a lot of packaging material that allows much of the visible light to pass through. Graphs show the extent to which light can penetrate the various materials, with MIRON violet glass blocking the entire spectrum of visible light, with the exception of the violet part. At the same time, it does allow some radiation to pass through in the spectrum of UV-A and infrared.
