Topaz is a silicate mineral, that through irradiation and heat treatment processes, displays various shades of blue. Sky blue topaz is easily distinguishable by its medium to light blue tones and clear clarity.

Topaz has generally been known as a stone of love and good fortune and is excellent for bringing joy, courage and wisdom.

Topaz has a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale and a specific gravity of 3.53 to 3.57.

Care: As with all gemstones, care must be taken. It is not advised to place topaz stones in an ultrasonic, steam cleaner or chemical cleaning solution. Topaz can be easily cleaned with a warm soapy water mix or an untreated cloth.

It is advised to avoid exposing topaz to prolonged periods of heat and light.

A slight tolerance of +/- 0.25mm should be expected with these stones and these topaz are sold individually.
